MikroTik is a Latvian company which was founded in 1996 to develop routers and wireless ISP systems. MikroTik now provide hardware and software for Internet connectivity on a global scale.
After years of experience in complete routing systems and industry standard PC hardware MikroTik created their own RouterOS software system that provides stability, controls and flexibility for all sorts of data interfaces and routing.
Today their embedded router products, marketed under RouterBOARD, offer functionality as a network router, bandwidth management system, proxy server, dhcp, dns server and can also be used as a hotspot server.
